Churchills Family Funeral Directors offer families direct cremations, sometimes known as cremations without ceremony. Direct cremations are carried out using a simple coffin and without attendance, offering a straightforward and quiet option.
What is Direct Cremation?
Direct cremation is a simplified alternative to a more traditional funeral offered by our kind and courteous team. This gives relatives the freedom to hold a personal farewell, how and when they choose.

You’ll be able to discuss the option of cremations without ceremony, along with any other queries you have, with our supportive and sympathetic team. Collection of the deceased from local hospital/mortuary. (9.30am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday)
Professional Services and administration.
Provision of a coffin suitable for cremation. (Maximum size 6’2” x 22”)
Transfer of your loved one from our premises to a crematorium and date of our choice.
Family, friends or members of the public are not able to attend.
Ashes to be scattered in the crematorium grounds or collected by Churchills and held free of charge for a maximum of one month, after which there will be a storage fee of £10.00 a week.
All fees to be paid in advance.
